Allison Bailey: “I do not identify as a lesbian, I am a lesbian”

This is important because if its true that women are more likely to be gender critical then it would support the claim of indirect discrimination based on sex and sexuality, which is what Bailey alleges happened. However the barristers supporting the defendants, Garden Court Chambers and Stonewall UK, were very quick to shut this idea down. Not only citing polls which disprove that anti-trans views are more common amongst women, such as one by YouGov, which aren't hampered by the selection bias of dedicated anti-trans groups. But also with a thorough cross-examination of supporting evidence too.

The Tavistock; are 1000 really families suing?

An article posted to The Times has led people to believe 1000 families are suing The Tavistock, a clinic which includes the gender identity development service for trans youth. The rhetoric is being shared online as a statement of fact.

Nigeria’s LGBTQ+ community hold protest against anti-LGBTQ+ bills

At first there was mixed feelings due to concerns about safety, not least as many of us faced harassment when we joined the ‘end SARS’ protest in 2020. Eventually we agreed. We are so tired of hiding, running away and living in fear; we had to do something and so we planned a protest for May 1st 2022. The first ever protest of its kind to be held in Nigeria!
: Arched ceiling, with curved glass panels, in one of the basement offices of the Liverpool Cotton Exchange. Its the cotton ceiling, get it?

Allison Bailey; why did the judge ignore her cotton ceiling accusation?

During the Allison Bailey tribunal we heard a lot about "The cotton ceiling". Which is a phrase used primarily by anti-trans activists nowadays to frame transgender women in particular as predatory men. This is a deliberately unfair reading meant to monster transgender women.

Nick Cohen suspension blamed on trans people by The Telegraph

In a piece written for The Telegraph by Ben Woods it is claimed that Nick Cohen has been suspended from The Observer following a trans rights row. Whereas this is chronologically correct, it isn't really the whole story.

Dennis Noel Kavanagh suspended from Twitter after violent anti-trans rant

Writing to "Stonewall, Mermaids and all your friends" Kavanagh says he "means this" before showing a tweet he had made previously which is just violent threats all the way through. Quote; "I will fucking nail you to a wall what you have done to these innocent children. Your mutilation of these little humand because they were gay will be nothing compared to what I will do to you legally. You think you are ghouls wait till I deal with you bastard and I mean to", but in all caps.

The New Women's March logo; three silhouettes of faces overlayed on top of each other and alternating in colours from blue to white and back to blue again. They are meant to represent a diverse selection of women and include different facial features.

New Women’s March Logo has transphobes losing it

The Women's March logo has come under fire from those involved in organising against trans people's equality. This because they've apparently put a man in it, and by which they mean a transgender woman. Hilarity has of course, ensued.

A new tactic for transphobia; weaponising the Gender Recognition Act 2004

The point of this misunderstanding is entirely to set up the legal backing for the idea that it would be lawful to exclude transgender women from women's spaces. If you have to actually be legally registered as female to be protected from discrimination on the basis of sex and therefore misogyny then automatically the vast majority of trans women are locked out. Not to mention every transgender child given that the GRA is only for 18+.
