The Daily Mail seem determined to block Penny Mourdant from becoming the Conservative Party's next leader - and therefore the UK's next Prime Minister - as they target her once again using her previous stance on trans rights.

It has nothing to do with constituents, supporters, LGBT+ people, diversity or Margaret Thatcher's evil bones. It has everything to do with playing the game and making sure there's still a Tory party after the end of all this scandal. All so they can all keep their nice cushy jobs blowing smoke up each other's arses and paying lip-service to their job titles.

He asserts his allyship, noting his involvement in passing the gay marriage bill and being enthused about flying pride flags over government buildings even in countries that don't share 'our values'. He did not comment on his infamously homophobic statements, such as "tank-topped bumboys".
