Rachel Pollack, widely known for her Tarot reading and comic books, passed away on April 7th 2023. We wanted to honour her life and commissioned this piece from a friend of hers in her memory. Roz Kaveney writes;

Justin Webb of BBC Radio 4 recently posted on Twitter regarding the BBC's decision to back out of Stonewall's Diversity Champions and Workplace Equality Index Schemes. He claimed that the BBC and "responsible organisations" cut ties with Stonewall over claims they had made in a 2017 School Report. The BBC response to a Freedom of Information request I sent does not corroborate this.

I do not care to weigh in on the discourse surrounding single-sex schools in general, but I am telling you that in my experience at an all-girlls school I was not protected from sexism, gender conformity, or transness (even before this became the boogeyman in the UK). Teaching LGBTQIA+ topics is an absolute must in helping equip students to understand and protect themselves from the experiences such as mine.
